Pediatric Size Swallowable Glass Pill for Digestive Motility Analysis

Pediatric Size Swallow-able Glass Pill for Digestive Motility Analysis

Digital pill is basically a multichannel sensor used for remote biomedical measurements using micro technology. This is used for the real-time measurement parameters such as temperature, pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen. The sensors are fabricated using electron beam and photolithographic pattern integration and were controlled by an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

HARDWARE DESCRIPTION:

·        Microcontroller

·        LCD display

·        Digital pill

·        Power supply

EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS

The layout of the custom integrated circuit, which is fabricated on UMC 0.18μm CMOS process has a die size of 1.5 mm x 3 mm, is shown in Fig. 8. Approximately half of the silicon area is composed of the tunable capacitor bank for ensuring the resonant operation against variations on CMOS fabrication process and coil manufacturing tolerances.
